2021 Spring Season Start Up

Important Covid 19 Information for club members


With the new season kicking off tomorrow, we wanted to advise you of the steps that Beacon Soccer Club is taking to ensure a safe playing environment for our Players, Coaches, Referees, Players, and Volunteers.


We ask that you read the information and follow all the steps required to create a safe space to get out and play, together.


We are all in this together!


Before attending a practice, game or other BSC event, please refer to the below 4 questions to guide your decision-making. If the answer to any of them is "Yes", please keep your child home as a precaution.

  1. Has the player tested positive for COVID-19?

  2. Has the player been in close contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case in the last 14 days?

  3. Has the player traveled internationally or to any state that will require you to quarantine, in the last 14 days?

  4. Does the player or anyone in the player's family currently have any of the following symptoms?

    1. Fever of 100.0 or more or chills

    2. Cough

    3. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

    4. Fatigue

    5. Muscle or body aches

    6. Headache

    7. New loss of taste or smell

    8. Sore throat

    9. Congestion or runny nose

    10. Nausea or vomiting

    11. Diarrhea

  • Ensure child is healthy and check your child’s temperature daily.

  • Limited or no carpooling with other players.

  • Stay in car or adhere to social distance requirements, based on state and local health requirements.

  • When at practice wear mask if outside your car.

  • Ensure child’s clothing is washed after every training session.

  • Ensure all equipment, cleats, ball, shin guards etc. are sanitized before and after every training.

  • Notify member organization immediately if your child becomes ill for any reason.

  • Do not assist coach with equipment before or after training.

  • Be sure your child always has sanitizer with them.


  • Ensure the health and safety of all players.

  • Inquire how the athletes are feeling, send them home should you believe they act or look ill.

  • Follow all state and local health protocols.

  • Ensure all athletes have their individual equipment (ball, water bottles, bag, etc.)

  • Coach is the only person to handle all practice equipment. (cones, disk etc.)

  • Coach to sanitize/clean all personal training equipment before and after each session (e.g. cones, discs, etc.)

  • All training should be outdoors and ensure social distancing per state or local health guidelines.

  • Always wear a face mask, when not actively coaching, maintain social distance requirements from players based on state and local health requirements.

  • Have fun, stay positive – players and parents are looking to you to stay calm, supportive and caring during this time.

  • The use of scrimmage vests or pinnies is not recommended at this time.
